Indoor golf is a great way to not only practice the game of golf, but to also stay active. For those of you that are not familiar with how indoor golf is evolving, let us explain. In the past indoor golf typically meant that you were going to practice at an indoor driving range such as a golf dome. Golf domes are still very popular today but there are not that many around.

The new indoor golf facilities that have been popping up the past few years are indoor golf simulators. Now your first impression of an indoor golf simulator may be that it is not very accurate, or the graphics are not sharp, and that they won’t be too enjoyable. If this is what you think than you need to get caught up on the times because you’re missing out. A lot of indoor golf simulator locations now offer lessons taught by professionals which analyze your swing, impact of the ball, whether your slicing or drawing etc. It provides a full overview of what you’re doing while you swing.
Let’s now get to the golf simulators themselves. They are now available with full HD display and are bigger and better than ever. You can even choose to play on actual PGA Tour courses. A few years ago you would have never thought that you could go play a round at Pebble Beach by hopping in your car and driving 10 minutes down the road. You will also be amazing by the accuracy of the shots that you take. For the most part it is pretty much bang on. The only thing that needs to be improved is the putting. You have to put at the screen making judging the distance a little tricky. This is currently being worked on and will be improved within the next 12 months.
