One of the best things about Burlington golf courses is that the courses are frequently home to charity tournaments. This truly speaks for how popular golfing in Burlington really is. The atmosphere at each of the Burlington golf courses creates some of the best golfing experiences that you will ever have.
Each course has its pros and cons, but easily the best golf course in Burlington is Burlington Golf and Country Club. Unfortunately, it is private, so unless you know someone who is a member, you’ll have to move on to the next best thing, which is debatable.
The second best Burlington golf course all comes down to personal preference. Crosswinds Golf and Country Club, a relatively new course, is carved out of the picturesque Niagara escarpment. Complete with strategically placed water hazards and bunkers, this layout is probably the best public course in Burlington has to offer next to the private courses in the area.
Following Crosswinds would be Hidden Lake Golf Club. Not only does Hidden Lake have 36 holes, but it also has the best driving range in the city. Furthermore, their “new course” has been the host of the Canadian Open’s Monday Qualifier several times.
Indian Wells Golf Club falls closely behind Hidden Lake, holding the title of best views. The 18-hole layout has seen many changes in the past few years, and with the best “Men’s Night” in town, the relaxed atmosphere and extremely challenging layout is on the rise.
Millcroft Golf Club, which is under the same ownership as Indian Wells, has seen its fair share of changes as well. Originally home to a great driving range, it is now lined with houses. It is a very well kept Burlington golf course, and although it is a little bit on the short side, it is quite enjoyable.
You can’t forget Lowville Golf Club with its rolling terrain that always makes it a challenging course to play. The other Burlington golf courses are lower in price and are geared more toward the “weekend golfer.”
Burlington Springs Golf and Country Club and Tyandaga Golf Course are good for a fun, relaxed round of golf.
If you are a less experienced golfer looking to get into the game, Camisle Golf is the perfect place to learn how to play the game.
