Highland Country Club is among the most prestigious London Ontario private golf courses, offering members 18 holes at par 71 since first opening in 1922. Located just outside of downtown London, the Highland Golf Club offers a scenic retreat with spectacular views of the city as well as clubhouse facilities, a pro shop and separate curling memberships.

First established in 1924, the Thames Valley Golf & Country Club is located just ten minutes from downtown London. The public course offers a pleasant 18 holes of classic golfing with up-to-date facilities including indoor golf simulations during the winter.

Designed in 1933 by Canada’s most renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson, Sunningdale Golf and Country Club is a gorgeous private course. Golfers from all over the world have come just to play it, as it has hosted many prestigious tournaments throughout its history. The grounds also feature a beautiful country club, pro shop, golf instructions and winter activities for members.

London Hunt and Country Club is another private golf course in London Ontario, which has offered foxhunting and skeet shooting since 1885 and golfing since 1960, with an 18-hole championship golf course recently renovated in 2000.

Forest City National Golf Club takes the crown for being London’s most prestigious golf clubs, ranked among the top 50 golf courses in Canada. It hosted the Canadian P.G.A. Championship in 1998 and as well as the Canadian Tour Ontario Open, Du Maurier Series Event and OUAA Championship, and the best part for visitors is you don’t need a membership to play. This London Ontario public golf course offers a private experience with 18 holes at a par 72 level; just be sure to book your tee times early.

Fanshawe Golf Course is one of the biggest London Ontario golf courses, in operation since 1958. It offers two separate 18-hole courses as well as an additional nine-hole course. Echo Valley Golf Course has been in operation since 1970, found on the outskirts of London. The public, 18-hole course was recently renovated by Canadian architect Rene Mylaert in 2005.

RiverBend Golf Community is a private London Ontario country club, offering its members the utmost in luxury with a beautiful 18-hole championship course surrounded by a gated community of homes. For more casual golfers, East Park Golf Gardens is located at East Park just off the 401 in London. It’s hard to miss. Just look for the waterslides. Maple Ridge Golf Club is offers a cheap day out on the links, with the option to play 9, 18 or even 27 holes with some of the most affordable rates in town. Memberships are also available
