Golfing in Muskoka offers a fantastic day out on the links, far removed from the city located approximately two hours north of Toronto. There are dozens of Muskoka country clubs and golf courses to choose from throughout all areas including Bracebridge, Huntsville, Gravenhurst, Windermere, and more.

Among the most prestigious Muskoka area golf courses is the Muskoka Bay Club. The 18-hole championship-style golf course was rated 9th out of Canada’s Top 100 Courses by SCOREGolf in 2010, with a gorgeous layout and spectacular clubhouse overlooking the greens as motivation for celebrating a successful day out on the links. Located in Gravenhurst, the Muskoka Bay Golf Club also features homes, villas and lofts with play and stay accommodations, memberships and more.

The Muskoka Woodlands Golf Course and Driving Range is located in Port Carling. The course is a challenging nine holes, and practice facilities include a small putting green and one of the only driving ranges in Muskoka.

Another Muskoka nine-hole golf course is the Fairways at Kirrie Glen, located in Bracebridge. It spans 2,830 yards if you can’t fit a full 18 holes in or are just looking to do some casual golfing with affordable rates.

Also in the area is the Bracebridge Golf Club, another nine-hole course with a full pro shop, putting green, chipping area, driving range as well as Muskoka golf lessons provided by their professional staff. The Muskoka Highlands Golf Club opened in 1993, bringing “A Wee Touch of Scotland” to the Muskoka area with a full 18 holes where its rolling hills are very reminiscent of the land where golf was born. It’s facilities also include a pro shop, club house, golf lessons, driving range, and more.

There are several nice golf courses in Huntsville including Deerhurst Resort, which features a 7,011 yard course at par 72 as well as full accommodations, dining, entertainment, pool tennis, and special travel packages available year-round. Golfing, however is limited to summers only. Huntsville Downs Golf and Country Club is a scenic yet challenging 6,400 yard, par 72 hole course open during golf season.

Unfortunately, golfing in Muskoka is limited to season-only. There are no Muskoka golf domes or indoor driving ranges at the moment. The closest indoor facility can be found at the Barrie Sports Dome.
